Typical Business Plan
This example shows the structure of the Tank Systems Support Integrated Project Team (TSS IPT) business plan. TSS IPT is part of the MOD Defence Logistic Organisation and is tasked with the management of the MOD’s entire fleet of heavy armoured vehicles and has an annual budget in the region of £100 million. The development of this plan took place over several weeks and involved a number of workshops with all section leaders and other key staff, plus a few smaller meetings to focus on particular issues and one-to-one interviews. The final deliverables included this plan plus a working balanced scorecard reporting tool in Microsoft Excel. The intangible deliverable was a business unit that was committed to achieving its new plan as a unified team.
